Paola Dotta has been dancing since she was 12. She graduated with a Diploma from the Imperial Society of Teacher of Dancing (ISTD) in Modern Jazz and Tap Dance at Joanne Cook Dance Academy in Bra, Italy in 2011. During that time she augmented her training in London at the Pineapple Dance school and then moved to Los Angeles to evolve her career in modern dance and hip hop. During her time in LA she was inspired by Yoga specifically for Dancers and then immersed herself into a 250 hours yoga teacher training in traditional Asthanga Yoga and a unique Asthanga practice, The Rocket with It’s Yoga Firenze in Florence, Italy.
In 2015 she managed and taught in the first yoga studio in her hometown in Italy for over a year and also developed and trained with a circus school and honed her Acro yoga skills.
Paola moved to Toronto in January 2017 where she continues to acquire additional knowledge practicing Iyengar yoga with Mahyar Raz (Setu Yoga), one of the most highly-trained Iyengar practitioners in North America as well as anatomy by Tim Mayer. Currently, she keeps practicing and teaching the Rocket in different studios in Toronto. “People simply love the practice, they feel safe and free to explore more about themselves with no self judgment or comparison; I love to see people working in harmony with their own body and breath.”
My It's Yoga Inspiration
My It’s Yoga inspiration is the practice and the community around it. There’s something very special in the way the Rocket is designed and approachable to all levels. It energizes you and at the same time it’s very calming for the nervous system. The breath leads your movements and it generates clarity and peace in your mind.
All teachers at It’s yoga are very inspiring and they create a very safe and familiar environment for people to come and explore more about themselves.
I love the energy of the circle and the empowerment you feel at the end. It’s Yoga is unique and I’m happy to be part of it.
